US hearth market reference — 2026
Every figure sourced & datedEvery listed retailer is compiled from public records and their own website — who they are and the brands they report carrying, with the source URL and read date on record.
Every wood and pellet heater on the EPA's certified list, with efficiency and emissions straight from the federal record — joined to the retailers who report carrying them.
Rebate and change-out programs we confirmed at a primary source. Re-checked on a schedule, and removed the day a figure cannot be re-confirmed.

Shop by category
Start from what you are heating with — each category leads to the retailers whose own site reports carrying it.
Find fireplace and stove retailers you can actually check
Hearth Shops maps 1,717 hearth retailers across 47 states — wood, pellet, gas, and electric — alongside the EPA's certified-heater database and every state incentive we could confirm at its primary source. We are an independent reference: retailers cannot pay for placement, we import no ratings or reviews from anywhere, and a claim we cannot re-confirm is removed rather than left to go stale. Whether you are pricing an insert or a whole-home pellet boiler, start with who is near you, what is certified, and what your state still pays.
Coverage is uneven and we say where: a retailer missing from a category is one whose site we did not read saying it, never a finding that they do not sell it. Read the methodology.

Why this directory can be checked
Verified against the retailer's own website
A listing is marked verified only where the retailer's own site confirmed who they are and what they report carrying. Every brand association carries its source URL and read date, and a listing we could not confirm says so instead.
Certification data straight from the EPA
Efficiency and emissions figures come from the EPA's certified wood heater database — the federal record, not a marketing sheet.
Incentives confirmed at the primary source, and dated
Every rebate figure links to the agency or utility that pays it and carries its verification date. A figure we cannot re-confirm is removed rather than re-dated, and where an agency blocked us we publish the gap instead of a guess.
Independent, and not for sale
We are not a retailer or an installer, and placement cannot be bought. No imported ratings and no borrowed reviews — coverage is built from public records and each retailer's own site.
